Lucerne is a census-designated place in Lake County, California, set on the north shore of Clear Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake lying entirely within the state. The community sits along Highway 20, about seven miles east-northeast of the county seat of Lakeport, at an elevation of roughly 1,300 feet in the hills of the North Coast Range.
